It should be known and understood that the Russian attack on Ukraine was due to several general things that can no longer be covered up, among them
1. Ukraine is a very large former soviet country after Kazakhstan and Russia. Ukraine has an armed force that always wants to rival the Russian army On such strategic interests Russia opposes the stand of the President of Ukraine who wants to join the North Atlantic Defense Treaty country or NATO. Russia was once embarrassed when the pro-Russian President of Ukraine was overthrown by Ukrainian MPs and appointed anti-Russian Volodymyr Zelenskiy as the new President without popular vote. Russia did not intervene in this matter.
2. Russia accuses Ukraine of committing atrocities against residents in Donesk and Luhansk of which these two provinces are pro -Russian and largely controlled by rebels and the Ukrainian central government is unable to do anything. This failure of control by Ukraine was evidenced in the shooting incident of MH17 commercial aircraft in 2014 in the region. Malaysia had to establish diplomatic relations with the warring parties only to take the black box in Donesk province. The rebels sought the help of Russia and Russia to recognize the independence of the two regions as independent states. This situation angered the Ukrainians and caused the Ukrainians to have to find a big brother to curb Russian power. Nato is seen to be a big brother to Ukraine.
3. Russia’s swift action of attacking Ukraine was the right strategy and had to be taken by Russia. NATO has been bypassed in its political strategy, if NATO accepts and recognizes in advance the participation of Ukraine in their alliance it is possible that Russia will not start a war on NATO territory. Russia is not actually forcing Ukraine to be its ally but Russia just does not want Ukraine to be more powerful and threaten its security. Russia has failed to persuade Ukraine to remain neutral. Russia has learned how former Soviet countries like lithuania, latvia and georgia, these countries are bordering Russia and US troops can be in the country to observe Russia.
In international relations the United States has military bases around the world, whereas Russia no longer practiced that way after the collapse of the Soviet Union compared to the US which continued to strengthen their military bases.
Many Muslim countries have begun to realize that in the conflict between the American bloc and Russia, Muslims are more supportive of Russia. Muslims know how the role of America and its allies is causing losses and chaos in Islamic countries all because of the United States and NATO. U.S. intervention in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, and Syria is clearly detrimental and destructive. The United States and NATO also failed to help Bosnian Muslims in the Balkhan war in Yugoslavia and remained silent when Muslims in Arakan Myanmar, Southern Thailand, Xinjiang China and Jammu and Kashmir -India were oppressed.
The United States in their stern action is only if it relates to their allies especially Israel. Israel was not oppressed or economically constrained when it attacked Palestinian and other Arab states and even provided military equipment to deal with the Islamic state of Russia also received the same fate. The Ukrainian president is Jewish because that is why the Israeli Prime Minister tried to reconcile and stop the attacks but Vladimir Putin did not accept Naftali Bennett’s advice. Putin is an Orthodox Christian who has more respect for Muslims. Because this is also Chehnya an autonomous country within Russia whose Muslim majority is rapidly offering itself to be the front line entry into the Ukrainian state.
